Hope Welty Public Library District Board of Trustees Minutes

December 10, 2010

Call to Order:

The regular monthly meeting of the Hope Welty Public Library (HWPL) District board of trustees was held at the library on December 10, 2010.  The meeting was called to order at 1:00 PM by the President.  Present were board members: Irma Joynt, Janice Lonnon, Mary Hissong, Genea Lawler, , Tracy Mogged, Nancy McDermith and Library Director, Sandra Hayes.  Chelle Shively was absent.

Minutes of last HWPL meeting:

Minutes of the previous month's HWPL board meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer's Report:

The treasurer's report was given by Tracy and showed a balance of $97,783.60.  Expenses for the month were $9,580.19.  Janice moved expenses be allowed, and Genea seconded the motion.  All present voted aye.  Motion carried. 

Announcements:

Thank you note was sent to Dick Buckley, Ellis Hissong, Larry McDermith, and Jerry Shively for work completed on the library meeting room.  A $100 donation was received from Andrea Marley.

Time for Librarian:

• Sandi attended the December 2^nd  library systems merger meeting.
• The library will switch to Frontier high speed internet when it is available.
• High school study nights will be held on Monday and Tuesday, December 20^th and 21^st before final exams.

Old Business:

●         Review was done on Chapter 2 of “Serving our Public 2.0”

●         Part of the renovation at the library has been completed on the walls.

New Business:

• The annual director’s evaluation will be done at a special meeting on Tuesday, December 14^th at 1 pm
