Hope Welty Public Library Board of Trustees

April 19, 2011

Call to Order:

The special meeting of the Hope Welty Public Library (HWPL) District board of trustees was held at the library on April 19, 2011.  The meeting was called to order at 12:00 PM by the President.  Present were board members:  Irma Joynt, Janice Lonnon, Genea Lawler, Nancy McDermith,  Tracy Mogged, Chelle Shively, Mary Hissong and Library Director, Sandra Hayes.

Announcements:   An email from John Foltz answered questions about the biding process and how to proceed.

Minutes of last HWPL meeting:

Minutes of the previous month’s HWPL board meeting were read and approved with corrections.

Old Business:

·         Library Renovation

o   Chelle Shively moved to rescind the acceptance of the bid from J&M cabinets for the kitchen cabinets and consider all current bids.  Tracy Mogged seconded the motion. All present voted aye; motion carried.

o   Nancy McDermith moved to accept the bid from McClain’s Custom Counter Tops for the kitchen cabinets.  Janice Lonnon seconded the motion. All present voted aye; motion carried.

o   Genea Lawler moved to choose carpet color #837 Sienna to be ordered by Brent McNamara.  Mary Hissong seconded the motion.  All present voted aye; motion carried
